Best bets for viewpoint articles

Now that you've done some background research and gotten the lay of the land, it's time to start identifying the actual parts of the conversation around your topic. Think of each article as a contribution to the conversation. Along those lines, it will be useful to "remove yourself" and the attitudes you hold coming into this process from your searching. Instead, as you find articles on your topic, make a note simply of what each author says about the topic. From there, you'll be able to visualize the debate as a conversation:

  1. Authors 1 and 2 say X
  2. Authors 3, 4, and 5 say Y
  3. Author 6 says Z

Here are some useful tools for finding articles about your topic.
