ClioWeb Guide

ClioWeb is our interlibrary loan (ILL) system. It allows students and faculty to submit, track, and download requests for articles and books that the library or Prospector does not have.

Please try Prospector first to find a book, DVD, or CD before using ClioWeb. Go to Prospector.

If you are a current Adams State Student, faculty, or staff you should be able to log into ClioWeb using your Blackboard login. Go to ClioWeb.

The first time you login to ClioWeb you will be asked to create an account. You will only have to do this once.

You can edit your personal information in ClioWeb by clicking on the "Edit Personal Info" link on the top bar.

There are two ways to request an article.

Using library databases

You can request articles by searching various library databases. The link will usually say "Click Here for ILL Request" or “Find It!@Adams State”. This is the easiest way to request articles as the databases will fill out most of the form for you.

Go to the main library search

Using the form

  1. Go to ClioWeb.
  2. Click "New Article Request".
  3. Enter in the full article information.
  4. Press submit.
If the book you want is not available in our Library catalog or through Prospector you can use ClioWeb to request it. To request a book,
  1. Go to ClioWeb.
  2. Click on the "New Book Request" link.
  3. Enter data in all the required fields.
  4. Press submit.
You can view the status of your requests at any time. Simply log into ClioWeb and click on "View Your Requests". All downloadable articles will be kept here one month after the request is received. Go to ClioWeb.
You can make as many requests as you like, but please note that that there are restrictions to how many items we may be able to obtain for you. Go to interlibrary loan policy page.
Articles often take less than 24 hours on weekdays; books can take 1 to 4 weeks as they arrive through library mail. In the event that we are unable to obtain your item we will notify you via email.
You can access your article through ClioWeb for up to one month after the article is sent to you; please download and save your articles as they arrive. Click on "View Your Requests" to access your articles. If your password expires and you have not saved your article, you can request it again. Go to ClioWeb.

If you cannot login to ClioWeb please email the ILL department at ill@adams.edu with your name and student email. You can also call the reference desk at 719-587-7879.

Community members will need to request an account for access. Go to the community account request form.
